In our beloved nation, Indonesia, so many churches are waiting to be helped. Many church buildings are broken, yet the pastors and congregations do not have enough funds to renovate them. Some of them are in the middle of building their church, but half way through they run out of funds. For the past 8 years, Anugrah Ministries is called to become the extension of God’s hands, helping the churches that are in need through Church MakeOver program, also known as CMO. Now, we are entering our 35th CMO project.
Tuesday, 21 June 2016 was an unforgettable day for the pastor and congregation of GPdI Bethesda, Jawa Tongah Village, Hatonduhan District, Simalungun Region, North Sumatra Province. On that day, they saw how God answered their prayers for the completion of their church building, as Anugrah Ministries appointed GPdI Bethesda as her 35th CMO project.
This church was pioneered in 2003, with the number of congregation only 5 souls. Two months after that, they courageously started building a church building. At first, it was only with temporary plywood walls. Then in 2010, they managed to build the walls with bricks. However, until today, they could not complete the building. The number of congregation has grown to 12 families. Most of them work as traditional farmers, with below average income. They really long for a decent church building. Especially because their pastor, Pastor Sarding Nainggolan and his family have to sleep inside the sanctuary, since they have no pastoral home.

The things that Anugrah Ministries will MakeOver in this 35th CMO project are as follows:
- On the Church Building:
- Installing Ceramic Tiles as Flooring
- Plastering the Walls and painting them
- Installing Ceiling
- Building a 6x10m Pastoral Home:
- Full Ceramic Tiles as Flooring
- 3 Bedrooms
- Living Room
- Kitchen
- 1 Bathroom
- Building 2 Public Bathrooms (where people can shower, wash clothes, and go to toilet), each measuring 1.5x2m as our contribution for the community.
