Friday, September 3, 2021, is the date of our departure to the destination location of CMO 82 which is located in the village of Taronggo, North Bungku sub-district, North Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia with a total distance of more or less 1,712.70 km (1,064.22 mi) if drawn a straight line from Jakarta South.
The trip this time was by plane which took at least 3 hours from Soekarno-Hatta Airport (CGK) then transited to Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Makassar City, South Sulawesi (UPG) until we finally arrived at Syukur Aminuddin Amir Airport in Bubung Village. , Luwuk, Banggai, Central Sulawesi (LUW).
After a long journey by air, we had to travel overland from Luwuk to the destination, namely Taronggo for more or less 6.5 hours with uphill and downhill road conditions due to the geographical location of Luwuk District which is in the valley between the two Paka mountains and Pongoti mountains on the coast and local people call Luwuk the Thailand of Indonesia. Luwuk features rich waters and is strategically located with views of the bay. No wonder it is nicknamed the Watery City because it combines the beauty of the sea. Sometimes we have to go through potholes and roads damaged by landslides.
SD GKST Taronggo is located in a transmigrant area whose original population is the Wana Tribe where there are still many Wana Tribe children who have not received a proper education, including those who cannot read. Even for the Wana tribe, it doesn’t matter if they have to marry underage. That’s why the Government built this school to reach the Wana Tribe children who have not received a proper education.
The work carried out in the construction of new Class 1 and Class 2 rooms with a size of 9M x 16M, rehabilitation of the old building to be used as UKS and a library with a size of 9M x 16M, rehabilitation by installing floor tiles and painting class 3 and class 4 buildings with sizes 9M x 16M, rehabilitation of men’s toilets with a size of 2M x 4M, and rehabilitation of women’s toilets with a size of 2M x 4M. The rehabilitation was carried out due to damaged ceilings, cracked walls, damaged glass frames and doors.
Thank you for the support you provide. Pray for and continue to support the CMO 82 project so that this project can be completed and have an impact on the environment around the School. What we sow will not be in vain. Jesus blesses you.
