It was time for us to hand over GPI TIBERIAS in Kotamobagu, North Sulawesi back to the congregation. For 18 long years they waited and prayed. They made a lot of efforts, but did not avail much. Yet at God’s Kairos time, this Church MakeOver project was completed within six months. It was such joy to see how God has blessed His people. Smile was all over the place. Not only the congregation of the church, but also others came from Manado, Bitung, Sanger and even Talaud to witness this historical day.
Ps. Daniel Hendrata inaugurated the church building and handed it over to the local pastor, Ps. Stenly Assa. The guest of honor was the Deputy Mayor of the city, Mrs. Tatong Bara. In the midst of her busy schedules, she could spend time to inaugurate the place with us. In her speech, she said, “Government is happy and impressed that the church project is finally done, and to make it more special it was funded by Anugrah Pressindo Foundation from Jakarta.”
In the revival meeting, Ps. Daniel was preaching about The Year of Expansion from Isaiah 54:2-4. He stressed out that God has expanded this church, and now it is time for them to meet the purpose why they were chosen. The next day, Ps. Daniel also gave a short mentoring to the church’s leaders about Strategic Planning so that they would be ready to enter the new season, which the Lord has brought in their lives.
