The Start of CMO 63:
Still located in Kalimantan, like the previous CMO project. This time GPPIK Kabar Baik Sumiak got chosen as the 63rd CMO project. Located in Sumiak Sub-Village, Sidak Village, Sengah Temila District, Landak Region, West Kalimantan Province. In order to reach the location of the CMO, we had to drive for four hours from Pontianak. It’s quite a tough journey as the road is bumpy, some made of soil, some hardened by stones.
This church is under the leadership of Ev. Semiak and his wife Adinah. They have been serving as full time pastors over there. Most of the congregation work as farmers. The number of congregations has reached 131 souls, worshipping in a church building made of wood that’s already old and rotten. Even the terrace of the church almost collapsed. Besides this poor condition, with the growth of the congregation, the existing church building is not adequate to accommodate them.
Anugrah Ministries will build a completely new church building at CMO 63. The new church building will be measuring 6x12m.
