It’s school holiday! The academic year 2013-2014 has ended. Paise the Lord, all our Adikku Sayang students are promoted to the next level with great achievements. Some of them are even ranking 1 and 2 in their class. Therefore, as we promised them, we took them to field trip. We gathered the students and teachers from our 2 centers in Jakarta, namely Mangga Ubi and Tanah Merah Anugrah Learning Center. With a total of 25 pax, we went to Eko Park in Ancol.

Here, the children were taught how to do agriculture. How to plough the land, to set up an organic agricultural field, and to maximize a small piece of land. Next, they were taught to make pottery, to run a farm (of rabbits, goats, cows, and ducks). We also took them to see the Solar House, and the Bee House. Then they were learning how to make organic fertilizer (from wet rubbish). They also learned to make organic lamp, to replace candles in case of power failure. All of these activities took place between 9.15 am to 12 pm.

After lunch, we had a session with the children. Brian Hendrata (Head of Adikku Sayang) kept motivating them to be a shining star. Then, we distributed their new bags and school supplies. We took pictures together and had free time to walk around the Eco Park until 3.30 pm. All the Adikku Sayang children were overjoyed to be able to join this field trip because it has broadened up their horizon. Thanks for the support of all the sponsors and partners of Anugrah Ministries that has made this field trip possible. God bless you all abundantly!
