On Tuesday, 30th June 2015, Anugrah Ministries together with the children of Adikku Sayang from Jabodetabek (Jakarta, and greater Jakarta) went to Taman Wisata Lebah Pramuka in Cibubur, East Jakarta. Those who came are from Anugrah Learning Center (ALC) in Mangga Ubi, Tanah Merah, and 6 other ALCs from Bekasi district. On that day, 121 students from our Adikku Sayang Scholarship Program came, along with 10 ALC leaders, and 9 workers from Anugrah Ministries Team. Since the location of the field trip is within Jakarta region, we had to leave from our centers at 7 am, and by 8 am we were all gathered at the location of the field trip.

As we entered Taman Wisata Lebah Pramuka, we could see trees covering the area, and caves that took the shape of beehives. In one of the caves, we gathered and played a few games brought by wisatasekolah.com. These simple yet exciting games trained the children to become alert. After playing games for about an hour, we continued out field trip by praying and listening to motivational speech given by the Leader of Adikku Sayang, Brian Hendrata. Present also, the Ambassador of Adikku Sayang, Joe Richard who was giving encouragement and conducting Q&A session with the children. The children become very enthusiastic entering the new academic year, and ready to achieve greater heights. Then, we listened to the explanation of the Taman Wisata Lebah Pramuka Team about the world of bees. We learned new knowledge, such as different types of bee, the difference between bees and wasps, and also the types of honey produced by those bees.

Having learned the rules of what to do and what not to do when harvesting honey, it was time for us all to finally harvest and collect the honey. We were harvesting honey! The children were intently paying attention to the bees while harvesting their honey. We wore some kind of head protector so the bees would not stink us. Besides taking pictures, we also had a taste of our harvest.

After that, we continued with lunch and a short break. We also took pictures of every center and made announcements of the students who did very well in the last semester. Then we distributed the school bags, books, and supplies to every Adikku Sayang student. They were all very happy.

Thank you to every sponsor and partner of Anugrah Ministries who have supported us to make this Adikku Sayang Field Trip in 2015 to become a reality. We believe the movement that we have started together will produce great results in the future, whereby we will see the lives of these Adikku Sayang students transformed by God. God bless you!
