On the 30th November 2013, we were conducting Christmas Celebration in our Children Care Home Pondok Kasih Anugrah (PKA) in Uetuwu. About 230 people came that night, including the children, teachers, parents, and people from the community.
We started the service by listening to Christmas carols sung by the children of PKA. Then Ms. Stella Waas Hoke as Daily Operational Head of PKA shared the word of God, taken from Matthew 2. The theme of the sermon: Giving the Best Gift to God, as what the three wise men did when they came to see the birth of Jesus.
During altar call, about 20 people were responding. God’s presence was felt by all His people. After the service, we distributed food to everyone who came, also distributed gifts for the children’s Point Reward.
This is the most impressive Christmas for them, the indigenous tribe of Wana, as for the first time they saw Christmas tree being put up with all its lights and ornaments. Glory to God.
