Reading Verse: Deuteronomy 5:1-33

But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary,

They shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

The Word of God says that we should always wait on the Lord in this life. It means that we need to have patience; keep hoping and wait for His help. Why should we wait on the Lord? Waiting is not easy, but we must believe that when we wait on the Lord we will get new strength and will never become weak. He will give His strength while we are waiting on Him. As we are going through hardship, we should always wait on Him because those who hope on Him will not be put to shame. There may be many things that we hope from the Lord, such as the fulfillment of His promise, waiting for the answer of a prayer, or waiting for the desire of our hearts to come to pass. Even though all those things haven’t been answered, we must believe that God will fulfill His promises.

One of the best ways to wait on the Lord is through our prayers and our quiet moments with Him. By praying, we stay still, waiting on His will, His help and new strength. When we spend our time with Him, we keep quiet before Him. The key to always wait on the Lord is to trust. We should have faith that God is able to help, so our waiting and hope in God is never wasted. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that God makes everything beautiful in its time, so we must wait and believe that God has the best plan. We also must stay still, meaning that we surrender everything to God and stay in His promises and Word because the Word is our strength. Hold onto His promises, because this will be the foundation of our strength. Focus on God so we may become strong.

Thus, never stop waiting on the Lord and rejoice in His presence. Although we haven’t got the answers today, do not complain. We should have faith that in the right time all things will work together. God will not embarrass us who always wait on Him. He is the living God and He has power upon us.

One of the best ways to wait on the Lord is through our prayers and our quiet moments with Him.
