Reading Verse: Genesis 15:1-20
After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
Genesis 15:1
In the reading verse, we read that Abram had fear because he hadn’t got any child yet. But the Lord came to Him and gave him strength. God kept His promise. In the end, God bless Abram with a child. Often times in this life, problems and troubles can scare us. Anybody can experience fear, but the most important thing is that never let fear overpower our life. The Word of God says that God not only gives us the spirit of strength, but also a spirit that brings love and peace.
We don’t need to be afraid because God is always with us to give us hope, help, and victory. He is the Almighty God who is able to do anything. His help is never late, so we have to believe Him as the only hope in life. Don’t be afraid because God is our victory, and through Him we can become conquerors. Even though we experience failure, we should be optimistic and able to get back up to gain victory.
To overcome fear, each of us has to be close to Jesus. It is written in Psalms 62:2 that in Him alone we get peace. When we live in His presence, His peace will fill our heart and erase all fear. We have to be close to God in every moment so that He can always support our life.
In addition, we need to focus on Jesus, and not on our problems. The more we focus on our problems, the more we will be worried and afraid. On the other hand, if we keep our focus on God, we will see His great power that can make us strong and brave. Learn to onlylook towards God.
The most important thing in life is to trust God, especially in His promises, because they will all be fulfilled. We should not be afraid in facing any situations. Keep holding on and trust God, because those who believe Him will not be disappointed. As we believe in His promise, our faith will become stronger. Let us throw away our fear and replace it with our faith to God.
Live this life with no fear. Believe that with God, we will become conquerors.
