Reading Verse: Numbers 20:1-29

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7

Changes and situations that happen in the current era of life oftentimes make most people fear: fear of the future, fear of failures, etc. Fear is a common feeling for every human being, but never let fear dominate us. When we fear, we will lose our joy and peace; we will always think of negative thoughts and will tend to worry. It is written in 2 Timothy 1:7 that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. So, fear is not from God. The spirit within us is bigger than the spirit of this world. Never be afraid because God is always with us.

We should have courage in facing anything because God is always present and His presence is perfect. He will cast away all dangerous and evil things because His plan for our lives is perfect. His protection is not the same as human’s protection, because He never fails.

We should be close to God so that we do not fear and have peace. God is the only one who can give peace and security for us. Psalms 27: 1 says that the Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? It is written in Romans 8:31 that if God is for us, who can be against us? Therefore, we must always live close to Him because He is our salvation. Furthermore, keep in mind of all of His promises. It is written in Isaiah 41:10 that God will uphold us with His righteous right hand. Keep calm in any circumstances and trust God. Keep praying because God will strengthen our faith through prayers. The Holy Spirit will give us strength so we will not fear anymore.

Let’s live life with faith and in His guidance alone. Never be afraid as God is the shield and helper we can rely on; we are safe and will not be shaken if we are with Him. Amen.

We must keep our courage in facing anything because God is always with us
