Time flies, the CMO program now has reached the 55th program. This time project is located in Tanah Jawa District, Simalungun, North Sumatra. Precisely in Panambean Village, a servant of God named Ps John Sitorus and his wife Mrs. Nur Merilingga pastored the GPdI Muara Mulia church. GPdI Muara Mulia is also one of the Adikku Sayang centers in North Sumatra.
The pastoral method conducted by Ps John Sitorus is very creative. Even though most of the church members are farmers and traditional becak (pedicab) drivers, but that does not limit the work of God in this church. Every Wednesday, they hold “Cheerful Wednesday” where children come to learn to dance in a Dance Group managed by Mrs. Nur Merilingga. meanwhile Ps John Sitorus is also good at servicing electronic goods so that people don’t need to service their goods outside.
When the Anugrah team arrived, we saw that there was a lot to do in this place. We built new toilets by building new septic tanks, new electricity installations, and we also made bore wells as a daily source of water. We also draw walls, ceilings, door and window frames, paint inside and out, and ceramics. For the pastoral home, we also help finishing the inside and outside paint, ceramics, ceilings, and toilets. Finally, on November 15th 2018, the 55th CMO project began.
By God’s will, the construction project went on smoothly for 6 months, and on May 21th 2019, the church building that had been made over was inaugurated. At the inauguration service, Ps. Daniel Hendrata preached about the Great Commission taken from Matthew 28: 16-20. Ps. Daniel Hendrata advised the church to maximize the function of this renewed church, by being an impact and a light for the surrounding community so that the love of Jesus could shine throughout the life of the people of GPdI Muara Mulia.
Thank you to the Lord Jesus and also the sponsors who have made this project possible and can be a light for the surrounding community. God bless us all.
