Jesus Brought You Back Forever

“In Whom we have redemption THROUGH HIS BLOOD, even the forgiveness of sins.”

-Colossians 1:14

Did you see that? We were purchased by the BLOOD OF JESUS! We have the forgiveness of sins BY HIS BLOOD! I’m so glad we don’t have redemption through our strength, works, religious performance, or by our good deeds! But its only through the blood of Jesus!

Well, if it’s through the blood of Jesus, then I have a question….How long does His blood last? We know money doesn’t last forever, but what about His blood?

If His blood doesn’t last forever, then Jesus purchased us only temporarily! BUT IF His blood does last forever, then we have been purchased permanently!

Romans 6:9 says,
“Knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, DIES NO MORE. Death no longer has dominion over Him.”

God says Jesus will die no more! If Jesus has been raised back to life and dies no more, then His blood is alive and also dies no more! If Jesus’ blood dies no more, then our redemption and forgiveness of sins will have no end.

2000 years ago, Jesus shed His blood for you, and washed all your sins away, making you as white as snow! Jesus did that for you at the cross!

But you might say, “Jonah, if Jesus paid that price once with His blood 2000 years ago, what about my today’s mistakes? Am I still redeemed?” Let me give you another thought…the Bible says:

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, TODAY, and FOREVER” -Hebrews 13:8

So if Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, then that means Jesus’ blood is also the same yesterday, TODAY and FOREVER! If Jesus’ blood was able to provide redemption for you 2000 years ago, then His blood still provides redemption for you TODAY, because Jesus and His blood are always the same, still alive, and will never die!

My friends, God is not angry at you. He loves you, and you have been eternally purchased for intimacy with Jesus! He’s ready for you, and He made you ready for Him!
