Reading Verse: Genesis 26:1-35
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,
whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Philippians 4:8
When athletes get into a competition, their intentions are to win the race. In this life, we all want to achieve success. In order to get success, we need to have a winner’s spirit. A winner doesn’t give up easily even when he experienced failures. We should never stay in failures for long, instead we must get back up. Make the failure as the stepping-stone to achieve success. God never wants us to give up easily because He desires us to be conquerors. Don’t be pessimists. Failure is also a process in order for us to achieve success. Believe that God will provide the best way out for us.
A winner has never limited himself. Usually people limit themselves to get ahead and use inability as the excuse; and this could be an obstacle to succeed. In fact, God gives each of us talents or abilities that we can use to be successful. Therefore, we need to develop what God already gave us. It is written in Proverbs Amsal 23:7 that there is a person who is always thinking about the cost. So, we have to get ahead and dare to move forward. Remember that we have Jesus who is able to do all things. With God we are able to do great things.
A winner will always have a positive mindset. When we experience a bad thing, it could make us think negatively. In order to be a winner, we have to have positive thoughts, even though we are going through a problem. Believe that God has beautiful plans. It is written in Philippians 4:8 that we should think about whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable. God is longing that we always have positive thoughts because He always gives the best for us. Have faith that even though we are going through challenges now we should not be afraid because we’ve got the almighty Jesus. In this life, God desires to make us successful people; His plans for us are always full of goodness. God created us to be the head, and not the tail.
So, never worry and keep being optimists. Amen.
