Surrender and Believe

Reading Verse: Genesis 40:1-23

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”

 Romans 4:18

The life that we are going through is not easy. Sometimes we experience problems or struggles, other times we face a dead-end. But when we are in troubles, all we have to do is just believe and surrender to God. Believing is a key to see God’s miracles. Only by believing and surrendering to God will we get help and live in victory. We have to trust God in all circumstances. In Romans 4:18 it is written that although there was no hope for Abraham to believe, but he chose to believe and put his hopes in God. Eventually, Abraham got the promise of God, which is a son. The same goes in this life, no matter how hard the problem is, we should at least learn to believe in God alone.

We should believe in God because God never fails His promises. Each of His promise will be fulfilled, so trusting in God will not be wasted. He never disappoints those who believe in Him. When we surrender and rely on God, our life will not be shaken. But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
 whose confidence is in him (Jeremiah 17:7). Let us trust in God in every circumstance.

Moreover, Jesus is God who is able to give solutions to each of our problems so don’t be doubtful to surrender to Him. Jesus can do all things, even those that are difficult for us. When we surrender, He will help us.

In order to have stronger faith, the Word of God should enrich our lives. Di dalam Romans 10:17 says,  “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.”  Many Christians have weak faith because they always hear people’s opinions. So, focus on the Word of God so that we can be strengthened. We should never close our ears from the Word of God. Instead, we should close our ears from words that weaken and make us worry.

From this moment on, let us fully trust and surrender to God alone so that we can enjoy all God’s beautiful plans as well as His blessings. Amen.
