Reading Verse: Numbers 25:1-18

Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.

James 3:5

Proverbs 18:21 says that the tongue has the power of life and death meaning that we will experience the things that coming out of our mouth. So everything that happens in life, whether it’s bad or good, is started from words. However, it’s easier for us to say bad things than positive things, and as a result we experience unpleasant things. A tongue may seem small, but out of it can come out blessings or curses. Therefore, we must keep our tongue from saying negative things. If we want to experience a good thing, we should always say positive things. The thing that we should do through words is always giving thanks, instead of complaining and grumbling. God loves it when we give thanks; it means we appreciate each blessing He has given us. In all circumstances, be thankful because God is good. And we should always raise our praises to the Lord.

Get rid of all bad or negative words because they are not pleasing to Him. Never say a curse because we can’t take our words back. There is a power behind every word so what we say could happen. Say God’s words so that everything can turn out good since in His word nothing will become something, and bad things can be turned into good. Moreover, if we experience a failure, never curse ourselves for the failure. God created us to be conquerors and not losers. Even if we fail, never let ourselves speak negative words. Continue saying that we will win, we will succeed while we keep fighting and trying to do our parts. Never give up just because of a failure.

In order to guard our words, we should have a pure kind heart because what we say is flowing out from the heart. If our heart is pure, then we will say good words and positive things. Let us remain in God’s presence that will enable us to say good words. Let’s from this day onward learn to always say positive words in order to experience good things. Amen.

Keep in mind that every word has power so what we say could happen.
