Reading Verse: Deuteronomy 6:1-25

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.

1 Corinthians 9:25

From the very beginning God has created us as a conqueror, and He desires to bring us into a victorious life. God’s plan in our lives is full of goodness. Therefore we need to possess several attitudes that will determine what we obtain. The most important thing is to have a positive mind. Many problems that we have experienced should not make us think negatively because what we have in our mind will become a reality, so we must think positive things as much as we can. As written in Philippians 4:8, we must fix our thoughts on whatever things are noble, whatever things are good and praiseworthy to the Lord. When we experience failure, we shall think that God has a much better plan, and His plan is the best for us. To have positive thoughts, we should always read the Word so our mind is filled up with His truth. We need to ask for God’s help so in all situations we can keep our thoughts positive.

In addition, a conqueror does not want his life to be enslaved by sin anymore. Those who often fall into sin are the slaves of sin. We should always remember that we are saved from the curse of sin by the sacrifice of Jesus. God has already released us so by His grace we are made conquerors. Sin no more, because we are Christ’s children who live in the Spirit and not under evil desire. Thus, we must keep strict attitudes toward sin and disobey its desires. We should also have optimistic attitude and not pessimistic. As a conqueror we should not give up easily because of problems and challenges. Instead, we must keep going because God who is always with us is bigger than any problems. Only optimists will be able to obtain victory.

From this moment onward, let’s rise from any despair because God has already prepared victory. Have the attitudes of a conqueror and believe that His plan is perfect for us; trust that He will always bring us to victory. Amen.

Only those who are optimistic and live in Christ will be able to reach victory
