Reading Verse: Exodus 10:1-29
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:14
There are three parts in human’s life, which are past, present, and future. Every season has its own meaning, especially in the past where there are a lot of unforgettable memories. We are a product of time journey, so we are always part of the journey. However, we should be able to get rid of the past, and never live in the shadow of the past. The past is only a history, which can’t be returned nor repeated, so we shouldn’t have regrets and live in it. It’s definitely not easy to forget the past, but we should never waste our precious time thinking about what has been gone. The past should be a lesson for us to live better. At least we have to focus on Jesu who is able to heal us with His love, and He is also able to give new hope.
When we stay in our past, it will discourage us to step forward because our focus is not in front of us but behind us. If we want to reach success, we have to set our mind to what is in front of us, and forget what is behind us. It is written in Philippians 4 :13 that we should press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus.
We have to step out from the past and learn to focus on the future. We should live today, and not in the past, and we shouldn’t be worried about the future. As God blesses us today, and at this moment we can do something to get victory. Never worry about tomorrow, because God has guaranteed everything (Jeremiah 29:11). With God, our future will be beautiful and full of hopes.
When we let go of the past, we will focus on achieving every goal and dream towards the victorious life. Therefore, we have to get over the past in order to see new things that God has prepared. Believe that God wants us to enjoy each of His promises.
Let’s at least have a will to let go of the past and reach towards what God has prepared. Amen.
Forget about the past, step forward to reach the future that God has prepared
