It’s not a Coincidence

Reading Verse: Numbers 23:1-30

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11

In our daily lives, we often think that many things happen as coincidences. The truth is nothing happens coincidently. Everything that happens is because God wants to reveal His beautiful plan for us. Some things that never happen by chance are for example our presence in this world. This is not a coincidence because since we were in the womb of our mother, God had known us and had already planned out the days for our lives. All good and bad things that happen are in His hands and within His acknowledgement. It means that when we experience a bad thing, we don’t need to be afraid because God always cares. He has promised to provide a good and prosperous future (Jeremiah 29:11). Our presence is not a coincidence because God has a purpose and a plan for each of us. He desires for us to fulfill His plans. That’s why sometimes we go through certain processes that we don’t like, but we should bear with the processes so that His plans will be fulfilled.

The same thing is when we experience luck and we say that it’s because of a coincidence. Again, nothing happens coincidentally. We should be thankful when we experience good things. It is all because of His grace. And when we experience bad things, don’t be dismayed because He allows certain things to happen and all is in His control. From the very beginning God has already planned good things for our lives, and He has provided beautiful tomorrows. We may experience sickness, financial problems, family issues, but everything is under His control and He knows everything that happens to us. Do not fear because everything that happens will not bring harm to us, and all good things happen to those who love Him. Stay strong and remain firm in God.

From today on, let’s think about everything that happens as something that God permits to happen in our lives. And keep in mind that things may seem to be a coincidence for human, but for God all things happened according to His plan. Amen.
