Reading Verse: Deuteronomy 12:1-32
If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me.
Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell.
Philippians 1:21
One day, a man was sailing in a vast ocean. He only wanted to sail and enjoy the beauty of the ocean. With a good sailing ship, he tried to enjoy his life. He kept sailing and sailing. But, in the middle of his trip he became bored. Then he changed the destination of his sailing. But, he didn’t know where he wanted to go. So, he continued sailing. He wasn’t worried about his food supply because he got plenty of them. In the end, a storm hit the ocean and his ship, and it cast him far on the shore of a beach. His ship was stuck in the sand. Nobody except him was seen on the beach. He got to help himself out. With the remaining of the food, he was able to survive for a month. However, living alone on the beach was only a waste of time.
In living this life, we need to have the right purpose. The purpose is not only about following what we want in life, because this can make us regret in the future. We shouldn’t only exist in this world. Keep in mind that when God created us, He made us with a purpose. It is not a coincidence that we are here. God has designed our lives so that we can fulfil His plans. Therefore, we need to have a clear direction and purpose in life. We should maximize our lives since God has given us talents and capabilities. We should be able to develop our talents and capabilities in order to have a clear focus of the purpose of life and so that our time is not wasted. If we have life without a purpose or focus, it will be hard for us to achieve victory. Victory can only be gained when there is purpose and clear focus. When we have a purpose, we will try our best to make our dreams come true. Life without purpose will make us bored easily. On the other hand, when we have a purpose, we will be energetic to live this life.
Let’s fill the days of our lives with a purpose. Keep walking forward with Him so that we can reach victory upon victory.
