Reading Verse: Deuteronomy 8:1-20
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
We all have wants and desires in this life. For instance, someone who is sick desires to be healed, someone who is struggling desires to see a way out. But in fact, despite of all our desires and wants, oftentimes we still don’t see any changes in our lives; we still have problems, or an illness that hasn’t been healed. Beyond all things that happen, never become bitter. Surrender all to God, because He reigns over our lives. He is God who is able to help us. We must learn to understand His plan and His will. If He is willing to help us, we will receive favor or miracle on time. No matter how difficult the situations, if God is willing to help, nothing is impossible.
There are times when we feel like God’s help is too late. Keep in mind that He is never late in fulfilling His promises. Have that faith. If we feel like God has not helped or answered our prayers, it doesn’t mean He does not want to help us, instead He has a better plan for us. He knows already what will happen before us. Romans 8:28 says that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love Him. As humans, our mind has limitations, but God knows everything. He loves us so much that He wants to give the best for us. Therefore, surrender all to God.
All of our lives belong to God; we need to obey each of His commandments. We should always surrender to His will in order not to be drowned in disappointments. Through self-surrender we will have peace in our souls. Never let our lives to be colored by complaints to God. Always be thankful!
Believe that God’s plan is the best for us. We need to surrender to God because He owns our lives, and when we believe, He will bring us into His beautiful plans.
All of our lives are God’s, so we need to obey each of His commandments.
