Fulfillment of God’s Promise

Reading Verse: Genesis 21:1-34

For Sara conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time at which God had spoken to him.

 Genesis 21:2

When Abraham and Sara were old, God fulfilled His promise that Isaac was born. The waiting of Abraham was not worthless because after been waiting for a quite long time, God finally fulfill His promise: God blessed Abraham with a son. The same as we are waiting for God’s promise, it will be completed. Remember that God is not human who can tell lies. He is the Almighty God whose promises never fail. When God has made a promise, it will be fulfilled. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, in His time God will fulfill His promise.

While waiting for God’s promise, we might have to go through a process. But, we should survive and remain strong in God. We should not give up with the current situations, we should remain strong and keep going. Believe that God determines us as conquerors, and His plan will never fail. Every process should be considered as something that mature our faith.

In waiting for the promise of God, we should persevere and be faithful. This is the main key in order to receive God’s promise. We need to have perseverance in waiting for His promise. Persevere in our prayers to God. Even though our prayers have not been answered, we should keep praying and never give up because God always hears our prayers. Never focus on what is happening, but keep praying so that our faith doesn’t become weak.

It is written in James 5:16 b that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful. So, keep persevering in prayers. In addition, we also need to stay faithful to God. Never look away from Him, because He is our only savior. Jesus is able to do great things, so we should depend on Him.

Moreover, we have to keep our beliefs in God. Even though we have not yet seen the fulfillment of God’s promise, we have to believe that God will do it. It is written in Ecclesiastes 3:11 that He has made everything beautiful in its time. God is never late nor early in fulfilling His promise. Therefore, don’t be anxious or doubtful when it comes to God’s promise.

Regardless of our situations today, keep waiting on God, and have faith that each of His promise will be fulfilled.
