In the midst of the merry December atmosphere, we had the chance to celebrate Christmas with the whole congregation of GBI Rock Vila Citra in Lampung.
The Friendly Welcome
We left Jakarta at around 6:30 in the morning. We arrived in half an hour, as the distance between the two cities was short. Our small team of three was warmly welcomed by several of the church workers from ROCK Vila Citra. We were staying in the residence of Mr. Frikvan and Mrs. Christine, who are also parents of Elvira Natali (one of our Ambassadors for the Adikku Sayang scholarship program). It was pleasant to establish new relationship this Christmas with friends who share the same passion in serving the Lord as King.
The Christmas Revival Meeting With More Than 1000 People
The Christmas Revival Meeting took place in the evening, at 6 pm at Graha Wangsa Hall. There were around 1000 souls who attended the service. We felt the honor to serve God in this Christmas moment. Pastor Daniel Hendrata shared a message about “The Glorious King”. The message that night was about Jesus’ birth in the world as our Lord and Savior. The same Jesus will come again for the second time to reign as King.
Song Offering
After Elvira Natali shared about Adikku Sayang, Ps. Debby Catharina was given a chance to sing a song, entitled “Kasih dan SetiaMu”. In this moment, Ps. Debby and Ps. Daniel asked the congregation to lift up their hearts and worship the Lord.
Closing
Praise the Lord that we were able to serve Him in the closing of the year 2016. Thanks for all the support that was given to us in Anugrah Ministries this year. Let us keep our enthusiasm in serving Him and doing His great works in the New Year of 2017. Merry Christmas! God Bless You.
