On Sunday, 9th of May 2010, Anugrah Ministries went to visit the prisoners at Cipinang Prison in Jakarta. The purpose of this visit is to express God’s love to those who have been forgotten.
Ps. Daniel took the opportunity to explain the word of God taken from Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” He emphasized that God’s love for the inmates is unconditional, no matter what they have done in the past. Only by coming to Jesus, they will receive restoration and the ability to rebuild their lives.
In this visit, we brought daily necessities, such as tea, coffee, detergent, soap, shampoo, tooth brush, and tooth paste which we take for granted, but they are all very precious for the inmates who mostly have been forgotten by their family.
We also had the opportunity to pray for 25 inmates who dedicated their lives to Jesus, and accepted Him as Lord and Savior that day. It’s amazing to see how the lost souls repent and receive a second chance.
Thanks to all partners and friends of Anugrah Ministries for the support that makes this ministry effective. Your contribution means a lot in the expansion of the kingdom of God.
