1Co 1:27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;

1Co 1:28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are,

1Co 1:29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.

First of all, I’d like to thank the Lord Jesus and all partners of Anugrah Ministries for collaborating with us in reaching the end of the 2013-2014 academic year in Adikku Sayang (translated My Dear Brother/Sister) scholarship program. This year, we managed to give scholarship to 150 poor students through our 10 learning centers.

Looking at the above verses, we understood that God loves both the rich and the poor. When He allowed the poor to be amongst us, it means that He wants the rich to care for the poor. Through education we can give directions to their lives. Clearly, with your supports, we help to protect them from child trafficking, prostitutions, drug trafficking, and systemic poverty. Character building is the key element that builds a nation. Therefore, when we combine education and character building, we are building a stronger generation for a better Indonesia.

For this year, 2014, God has given us a clear roadmap. He wants us to send 1,000 poor children to school, and 10,000 by 2020. It seems impossible, but with God, certainly nothing is impossible. Therefore, we invite you to synergize with us for this great cause. You can start and continue sponsoring a child, starting from for less than US $50 per month and that’s almost US $1.50 a day, less than your cup of coffee. Your sponsorship will enable us to reach them and the will of God to be unfolded in their lives.
