Desperate for Revival?

Who wants revival? Or the question should be: Who wouldn’t want revival?

Throughout the centuries, great revivals have broken loose all over the world, leaving an impression on Christians, that revival is something they would truly love to experience. Many Christians have even gone to the point where they would beg and beg God for it, day in and day out. Some have even gone without food for a long period of time, fasting for a revival but to no avail, or to not what they hoped for anyway.

Many techniques have been tried to persuade God to finally give a revival. I find that the best revival anyone can experience is a personal revival. How exactly does that happen?

John 11:25 – Jesus said to her, “I am the Resurrection and the Life…”

If Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life, then that means He is your Revival.
He doesn’t bring revival or He doesn’t give revival. He IS your Revival! He’s the great I AM. Your revival has a name and that name is Jesus.

Now who did Jesus say that to? Let’s read it again.

John 11:25 – Jesus said to HER, “I am the Resurrection and the Life…”

Have you noticed that Jesus chose to use those words to a single person instead to a group of people? I’m sure He also said it to the crowds while preaching at other times, but God chose to record this wonderful revelation in the Bible while speaking just to one person. What is God trying to say here?

A personal revival from the Life-Giver Jesus seems to be closer to His heart than a corporate revival. He’s really focused on you and loves you personally.

Jesus is not only interested in the whole church having a revival, although He does so very much, but He is very interested in You personally, to experience a revival in Him.

A focus on a daily love relationship with Jesus will only truly let you experience the revival you’ve always longed for. Fix your focus and eyes on Jesus because intimate Words of Life from Jesus will bring about the revival you’ve always longed for. Jesus is your Revival!
