Scriptures: Genesis 18:1-15
The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Psalms 12:7
The Bible tells us that when Abraham received the promise of God that he would have great descendants, he and his wife, Sarah was already old. Medically, it was impossible for Sarah to give birth. However, Abraham still believed God, and Abraham was patient to wait. Though there was no foundation to hope on, Abraham still hoped in the Lord. God saw his perseverance and faith. His waiting period was not in vain, Abraham received the son that God promised to him.
When we wait for God’s promises to be fulfilled, we must also wait expectantly, whether it’s economic or family restoration, etc. God never forgets to keep His promises. God is never too early, but He’s never too late either in fulfilling His promises to us. Everything will be fulfilled in His due time (Ecclesiastes 3:11). God knows when to fulfill His promises to us. He knows the time that we should receive it.
When we have to wait, it’s a process for us to be patient and keep believing in God. Patience is the key to receive the fulfillment of God’s promises. Therefore, no matter how long we wait, we must always be patient. We should not take action on our own if we want to see the fulfillment of God’s promises. We should not doubt as well, because doubt will block us from receiving the fulfillment of His promises. Those who doubt do not have serenity in their lives. Let’s strengthen our faith and not be influenced by the circumstances. Look only to God.
He who has promised is able to fulfill it. He is the Almighty God, and nothing is impossible to Him. Have a strong faith in God that His promises will be made real in our lives. Believe in your heart that God’s promises are not the same as humans’. Humans may forget their promises or disappoint us. Yet, God cannot lie with His promises. God’s promises are pure, like tested silver, so we do not have to doubt. Instead, we must always give thanks for every of His promises. Let’s keep strengthening our faith in Him! (J/DC)
What fulfillment of God’s promises are we waiting for right now? Be faithful and diligent because the God that we worship never forgets about His promises.
