but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison

James 3:8

In general, people want to experience good things in their lives. The Word of God teaches us that the tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. It is like we reap what we sow when we say something. Even though the tongue is a small member, it has great impact. With it we bless the Lord, and with it we speak negative words or gossip. We may accidentally speak negative words in this life. Therefore, we must be careful in choosing our words. Do not easily speak bad words because our words have power to bring blessings, victory, and bad things. When we are experiencing a failure, we should guard our words and say that we are still a conqueror before God. Then, we will get what we speak about. On the other hand, when we become pessimists and say negative words, then it would be hard for us to gain victory. Thus, in any situations keep saying positive words. With Jesus we will be victorious.

Words can bring God’s power in our lives. When we keep saying God’s promise, then we will have the fulfillment of it in our lives. Nothing is impossible; God is able to fulfill His promises. It is just sometimes the fulfillment of His promise can’t be realized because our words are against the promise. When we are having difficulties in financial area, speak that God will provide all of our needs. Then, we will experience abundant, and even a victorious life. Speak the Word in any situations., because His word has His powerful promise. In addition, words can heal our diseases. When we are sick, speak with faith that the wounds of Jesus heal us.

Our words should also give strength to others, so those who are weak will regain their strength. Always speak good and righteous things. Words in this life are like a prayer. Therefore, we should use our words for useful things only. Use our tongue to give thanks and praise the Lord. Get rid of any negative words so that we may experience good thing in our whole life. Amen.
