The Joy and Sorrow of Life

Reading Verse: Joshua 14:1-15 

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

We all dream to have a happy life without problems, but the reality is that life does not always go smooth without troubles and challenges. Whoever we are, we will have problems and tests in life. Life is like season, sometimes it rains, and other times it is hot. As long as we live, joy and sorrow come and go as the colors of life. Let us realize this so that when we experience troubles or trials, we can become strong, and not to be disappointed. Keep in mind that we will not experience what we are experiencing forever. In His perfect timing, God will help and give us victory.

The most important thing in living this life is how we respond to life. A decision to respond will affect our lives. In times of hardship, do not whine or become pessimist. Whining does not solve problems, but it could make us be overcome by problems. Make a decision to remain grateful to God. Believe that all things God has given us are the best, none of His plans are bad plans. The Word of God tells us that in any circumstances we should always give thanks. Gratitude is pleasing to God and it shows the maturity of our faith. Next, we must become a strong personality in God: keep fighting and pressing in despite our processes or challenges in life. Keep moving forward until we see the victory that God has prepared for us. We will not go through sorrow forever; in His timing we will experience joy. Even though the crying goes all night long, joy will come in the morning. When we receive God’s blessings, keep in mind that it’s all because of His grace and not because of our own strength, so we should never boast about ourselves.

God never promises that life will go smooth without problems or challenges, but God gives us a beautiful life because He gives the best for us. In times of troubles, God will always give us strength and wisdom, and a way out to every problem. So, do not fear and bitter, God will definitely give us victory.
