Reading Verse: Numbers 18:1-32

“Whoever would love life and see good days
must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech.

1 Peter 3:10

Everybody desires to have a happy life, where we can enjoy all blessings that God has given to us. Happiness is not only about how much money you have or how powerful you are, but it’s about how you can enjoy life. It is written in the Word of God that we should be able to enjoy life. And in order to enjoy this life, the first thing to do is to keep your tongue from speaking evils or negative words, and to keep your lips from deceitful speech (Psalms 34:14).

If we are able to guard our words, we will experience a good life. In any situations, speak God’s promises so that we may live in His promises. Proverbs 18:21 says that the tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Keep in mind that there is power in every spoken word. Learn to speak good and positive things even in bad situations. Let our mouths speak gratitude words to the Lord as He is good all the time and His love endures forever.

Next, meditate on God’s word and take actions out of it. Psalms 1:2-3 says that blessed is the one whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither —whatever they do prospers. James 1:25 says that when we do the word we will blessed in what we do. Obeying the word of God is one way to receive the best from God. So, never lose heart in reading and meditating on His word because this is a key to a happy life. We must do kindness. We should never pay evil with evil. Follow God’s teachings in order to have a blessed life.

Never see happiness based on the things that we have since everything we have is temporary and will never give us happiness. Only in Jesus will we experience a happy life.

Let’s get close to God to have a joyful life. Amen
