Reading Verse: Deuteronomy 16:1-22

Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

Revelation 2:4

The very first time we love somebody, we always desire to please their heart, and do the best for them. This also applies to our love toward God. As a newly born in Christ, we are so enthusiastic in following Him. We always want to be close to God, and please His heart. As time goes by, sometimes we lose our first love. Our diligence in God becomes loose, or we withdraw from ministry. But, during those times we should get back up and return to the first love. God always wants us to return to the first love. When we begin to disconnect from God, we must remember the first time we make commitment to God. Don’t let it lose just because the problems or situations we are dealing with. In any circumstances, we should always stay faithful in loving Jesus. We should remember that it is God who loves us first. He has chosen us, and He does everything with great love. He deserves to receive our love, so never leave our love toward God.

Moreover, it is written in the Word of God that we love God with all our heart, soul, and mind. In life, we should learn to love Jesus with all of our abilities. In any situations, we should keep our love to Jesus. Believe that love towards Jesus is eternal, because He is the eternal God. We should fill our lives with our love to God, and let us always be able to maintain our love to Him.

Never leave our love toward God. God never desires us to replace Him with anything else. For example, our love toward God can be decreased because of our hobby. God wants us to only love Him. So, never let our love becomes loose just because of problems or challenges because God is always good to us. Always keep the first love toward God. Make Jesus as the center in our life, and let our love toward Him be bigger than anything in us.

We should prioritize God and continue loving Him, because He always loves us. We will never lack anything good. Amen.
