Reading Verse: Deuteronomy 11:1-32

And athletes cannot win the prize unless they follow the rules.

2 Timothy 2:5

Everyone, especially the athletes who will compete in a championship definitely want to be a champion and experience victory. However, in order to be a champion, every athlete must be able to go through many process and they will sometimes have to experience defeat or failure. Only those who survive will eventually reach the victory. As in life, each of us always wants to experience victory upon victory. Even God has promised the victorious life for us. But, before reaching victory, sometimes we have to go through a process, because without a process there will be no victory. Therefore, when we are going through a process, keep holding on; remain strong until the process ends. We will not experience a process forever; there will be time when we will have a way out and get healed by the Lord. No matter what process we are going through, keep holding on until God grants us victory. When the process ends, we will see the beautiful plan God has set for us.

Next, in order to be a champion we must have disciplines. A professional athlete will practice regularly before he goes into a championship. As for us, we need to be disciplined, whether in reading the Word, or in spending quite time with God. When we are disciplined in reading the Word, our faith will be strengthened; when a problem comes, we have gained strength and will be able to become a conqueror. In addition, we need to have strong foundation, as in life, many things that can make us weak, like problems, failures, and challenges. We should endure and remain strong; let’s not allow ourselves to become weak and weary. Those who are faithful until the end will receive the crown of life.

Moreover, a champion also has the right focus in a championship. He will never be bothered by anything else but the victory that he will gain. So, we also have to have the right focus in order to experience a victorious life. In every struggle, keep fighting, and trust that God is our strength. Don’t easily give up. He will guide us towards victory.

Believe that we are all conquerors, so in any situations we should behave like one who keeps moving forward with Jesus.
