Christmas Celebration at Cipinang Correction Center, 9 December 2014

Different than our usual visit, this time the purpose of our visit to the Cipinang Correction Center (drug abuse division) is to celebrate Christmas together. We have prepared 350 boxes of food for the inmates’ lunch, also bathing supplies.

Inside the prison, all who gathered were listening to the word of God about The Good Samaritan, taken from Luke 10 : 30-35. Jonah Martin, a missionary from Canada, was delivering the message, translated by Brian Hendrata. In this Christmas service, all the inmates were strengthened by the help or the good Samaritan, Jesus Christ Himself.

After the sermon, we were praying for them who cannot celebrate Christmas with their families, also for those who are sick or those whose sentence will end soon. May the joy and peace of Christmas be in all of our hearts, whether free or imprisoned, because Jesus came into this world to save all, including those behind the bars. God bless all!

* We can only take documentation of our prison ministry from outside the gate, as new government rule prohibits documentation taken from inside the prison.
