Reading Verse: Deuteronomy 25:1-19
You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
Romans 6:18
When we believe in God, then we receive the redemption of sins, and at that moment our lives become righteous through Jesus. And we have been set free from sin. We receive the truth that in Christ we become a new creation, the old has gone and we become new by the truth of Christ. By His blood our lives become righteous; by His death all of our sins are redeemed. Although our sins as red as scarlet, they will be made white like snow. At that moment, our relationship with God is restored. Evil cannot judge us anymore. Despite our sins in the past, we don’t need to feel condemned because of our past sins. No matter how bad our past is, we must believe that the power of Jesus’ blood is greater than all things. Becoming a new creation means that we deserve to live in the promises of God. We deserve to receive the fulfillment of the promises. If we believe, then God’s promise will be fulfilled. Moreover, we will receive eternal life in God. The wages of sin is death, but when we are made righteous through Jesus, we will have eternal life. In Jesus alone we can have assurance of eternal life.
In addition, when we live in Jesus, we are set free from all curses of sin. Our lives are under His grace. Don’t be afraid of all kind of curses because God has given us freedom and guarantee that we will live a victorious life. He even has set us free from all curses of sin so we no longer live in punishment. When we live in the truth of the Lord, we must leave all sins because our Lord is holy. We also have to live according to His Word; everything in the Word is the truth. If we live in the truth, then God will pour out His blessings upon us.
Only in Jesus that we receive the truth, and the truth will change our lives. Stay and always live in the truth of Christ. God will reward those who live in the truth.
