Getting together and spending quality time with family members is becoming a rare commodity nowadays, considering the busy schedules, traffic, not to mention when both parents are working.<\/p>\n
Anugrah Ministries in the FAMILY DAY, gathered the families of the children who receive ADIKKU SAYANG scholarship program. These children have shown improvement in their school performance, having been attending our learning centers and receiving nutrition for the past few months. As an appreciation, as well as to celebrate their success, during this holiday (June 2011) we took them out to have a recreation together with their families.<\/p>\n
Besides the families of the scholarship recipients, the families of Anugrah Ministries were also coming to enjoy this togetherness. We were singing, praising the Lord, and also playing games to enhance the family togetherness and unity. The participants for this FAMILY DAY were the families of the ADIKKU SAYANG scholarship recipients in Mangga Ubi and Cengklong.<\/p>\n
Oops, it was getting late. It was time for lunch. Hmm so much fun to eat under the trees. With the breeze of the wind, next to the people that we love, the moment became unforgettable.<\/p>\n
The next interesting activities that we did were watching educative magic show and Pongo Show. The attendants could interact with the Orangutan figure called Pongo who is funny and mischievous, a 3D show in real time.<\/p>\n
In the midst of all this joy, we did not forget to listen to the Word of God. Then we asked the parents to lay hands on their children and pray for them, so they will become the next generation leaders, who love God and others.<\/p>\n
In the climax of the event, we gave trophies to the award winners: Elvan (the Most Diligent Student), Stefany (the Most Improved Student), and Yonathan (the Smartest Student).<\/p>\n
After that, all the scholarship recipients received new school uniforms and supplies, including the funds needed for their next school year.<\/p>\n
At the end of the day, we gave out presents to the winners of the games: Where is My Family and Wiggling Worm. Wow, that was a complete package that made FAMILY DAY unforgettable.<\/p>\n
