The school year of 2012-2013 has ended and like what we had done annually with the Adikku Sayang Scholarship children, we brought them to educational field trips. This year, we combined the students from Anugrah Learning Center (ALC) in Mangga Ubi and Sumpiuh to visit Kidzania at Pacific Place in Jakarta. They really had fun, as they got to experience different kinds of occupation. They got to imagine what the future will be like when they already go to work. Some were able to dream of becoming pilots, bakers, chocolatiers, coffee makers, motorbike racers, dentist, and many more.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, we took our students from ALC Padang to have a field trip in Pagaruyung Castle Museum in Batusangkar (2-hour drive from Padang). The kids enjoyed tug war games and blind fold games to find their peers by listening to their sound. Whereas our students from Pondok Kasih Anugrah, Uetuwu (interior of Central Sulawesi) went for a swim in a nearby river called the Big River. They were enjoying the nature and played some water games.<\/p>\n
For the academic year 2012-2013, we have a total of 76 students and 5 Anugrah Learning Centers. We are proud to announce Esda Yemima from ALC Sumpiuh as the Most Intelligent Student (90.4 average), Jhonathan from ALC Mangga Ubi as the Most Diligent Student (82.3 average), and Novrizal Amsal from ALC Padang as the Most Improved Student (from 70.5 to78.15 average). Thank you to our partners; their achievements are also yours as you have been faithfully sponsoring them. Above all, thank God for the opportunity that He gives us to be able to change the lives of these precious children. Amen!<\/p>\n
