{"id":1799,"date":"2013-05-10T03:00:10","date_gmt":"2013-05-09T20:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.anugrah.net\/?p=1799"},"modified":"2013-05-06T17:34:57","modified_gmt":"2013-05-06T10:34:57","slug":"overcoming-doubt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.anugrah.net\/en\/a-cup-of-coffee-for-the-day\/overcoming-doubt\/","title":{"rendered":"Overcoming Doubt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Reading Verse: Genesis 47:1-31<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">But let him ask in faith, with no doubting,\u00a0for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><em><strong>James 1:6<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One of the keys to victorious life is trust, and not filled with doubts. Doubts will make us to get nothing. So, we need to be optimistic, but often times, problems, challenges, and every uncertain thing can make us doubtful. That\u2019s why we need to stay optimistic, and to go through every step of our lives with God, because He is the Guarantor of our lives. He can give certainty for everything. God\u2019s promise is our guarantee, because every of His promise does not fail, it will be fulfilled. His promise will always bring us hope. In the Word of God, we have many of His promises that can strengthen us. Though in this moment, we may not have received all the fulfillment of those promises, God is a God who does not lie. In His time, He will fulfill all of His promises. Even if the circumstances around us are not certain, we should never doubt His promises. His promises give guarantee, and with God we will gain our victory.<\/p>\n<p>We need to overcome every doubt with steadfast faith, as it is written the believers live by faith and not by sight. It means, though we have not seen the help of God, we must have faith that His help is real and is on the way, and that we will receive our restoration. In whatever condition that we are in right now, we must have faith that in the end everything will be alright. Only when we have firm faith in God, we will be able to cast out all doubts. Besides that, we can overcome doubts with prayer. When we start to be fearful and doubtful, we need to call on the name of the Lord through our prayer, so He will strengthen our faith again, and we will stay in faith. Sing also praises and worship to Him, because these can also strengthen our faith. The most important thing in overcoming doubts is our closeness to God. Those who are close to God will always have peace. Even when listening to a bad news, or overwhelmed by many problems, we will not be doubtful, because God is always with us.<\/p>\n<p>Let us live this life with certainty and not with doubt. Remember, doubt will keep us away from the fulfillment of the promises of God.
