What is love? Wait, let’s be more specific… What is true, perfect love? 1 Corinthians 13 is known as the love chapter, and it tells us the characteristics of love and what love does… but what really is love?<\/p>\n
Before we find out, let me ask you a question. Do you have any fears right now? It could be fear of sickness, fear of death, fear of hell, or fear of never getting married. Whatever it may be; do you have any kind of fear?
\nThis is what God says about your fear:<\/p>\n
“There is no fear in love; but PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT FEAR….” – 1 John 4:18<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n There is good news for us because if we have any fear, that fear can be cast away from us by PERFECT LOVE!<\/p>\n So the question arises again. What is perfect love? We only live once, so why waste it by living in a prison of fear? So if we only live once, let’s learn to live in PERFECT LOVE while we got the chance!<\/p>\n Is your curiosity building to know what it is? The Bible says:<\/p>\n “This is REAL LOVE\u2014not that we loved God, BUT that HE LOVED US and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” -1 John 4:10 NLT<\/p>\n Perfect love isn’t our love for Him but it’s GOD’S LOVE FOR US! Our love is sometimes up and sometimes down, but not God’s love! His love is always huge, unconditional and never wavering! Our love may quit, but His love never quits! His love lasts forever!<\/p>\n You might have some knowledge about His love for you, but don’t stop there. We love God because He first loved us, so therefore, the secret to loving God more is again to FIRST realize even more of how much God loves us! According to Ephesians 3:17-19, God desires that you would know the width, length, depth and height of Christ’s love for you. Right now you might know the width of God’s love, but you still need to know the length, depth and height of God’s love also.<\/p>\n Why does HIS PERFECT LOVE FOR US cast away our fear? Because if we get the revelation that God Almighty, the Creator of the universe, the All-Powerful One, is actually so deeply and passionately in love with us, then we’ll finally realize…<\/p>\n “If God is for us, then who can be against us?” -Romans 8:31 Perfect Love described in 1 John 4:18 has always been 1 John 4:10 – God’s Love for us!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What is love?
