Reading Verse: Deuteronomy 30:1-20
When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it.
She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
Genesis 3:6
Everyone’s life is determined by the choices they make. Every day, we are faced by choices, whether to make a decision or to choose which way to go. Everyone has been given a right to choose based on his own desires. But, we should remember that every choice has a consequence. There are choices that bring goodness and there are choices that bring bad things. We must be careful with our choices because our choices affect our lives. In the Word of God, Eve ate the fruit of knowing good and evil. It was the choice of Eve, and there were consequences for the choice she made. Since then, Adam and Eve fell into sin. Therefore, don’t make a choice that is only following the desire of your heart. Instead, we need to adjust our choice with the Word of God. In addition, we always need to have commitment in making choices and walking with God. If we have chosen God, then we must be His followers forever. When we choose to follow God, this is the perfect and right choice.
The same thing applies when we experience failure, make sure that we will choose to raise and get back our focus on the beginning purpose that is to gain victory. If we choose to dwell with the failure, then it will be hard for us to reach success. But if we choose to get back up, it will be easy to succeed. The choices are in our hands, so we should be able to take the right choice. In times of trouble, don’t only mourn about it. Instead, get closer to God and move forward facing every problem. Believe that God will give a way out and victory for us. Remain as optmists in facing any problems.
Keep in mind that the decisions we make today determine our future. So make sure we make the right and accurate decisions. Ask for God’s guidance so that He can give us wisdom in making every decision.
