Reading Verse: Genesis 11:1-32
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Everybody always wants to be joyful, but struggles and problems sometimes make it hard to have happiness. God desires us to be joyful all the time. There are many promises about joyfulness around us, but only in God we will find the true joyfulness. When we live close to God, peace will be with us so that we are able to be joyful.
It is written in John 14:27 that Jesus is the source of our peace. The peace that He offers is different from the peace of the world. Therefore, we should have a close relationship with Jesus so that His joyfulness may flow into our heart. When we are close to God, we will face any problems since He will give His peace upon us. In addition, it is written in Psalms 1:2-3 that happy are those who meditate His word day and night. In the Word of God, we can find His promise that can bring us hope to make our heart joyful. Let each of us always meditates and do every word of God so that we may experience happiness in life.
We, ourselves, are the other things that determine joy. Because in fact it is our own decision that determine whether or not we remain joyful in the midst of troubles. When we decide to be pessimistic, it will steal our peace. On the other hand, if we keep hoping on God, we will be able to remain joyful. Never compare yourself with others because God has given you the best. It is only our decision that can determine whether or not we will live with joy today.
The most important thing in the word of God is for us to be able to be joyful in any circumstances. Not only in good times, but also in bad times we should be able to be joyful. As written in Habakkuk, although the fig tree will not blossom, and the labour of the olive tree fails, He will rejoice in the Lord. We should learn to be grateful and joyful in any situations. Whatever we experience today, never give up, stay joyful and rejoice in the Lord.
Because God is good, in Him there are hope, victory and His love forever.
